Be the Carpenter of your own life.

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. One day he told his owner of the firm about his plans to leave the job to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He badly miss the amount which he is getting weekly as wages but it’s enough now and he want to off load his duty and lead the leisure life. 

The Owner of the firm was very disappointed, he don’t want to lose him as he was the best carpenter in his team. Suddenly he asked the carpenter could you please build a last house for me ?
The carpenter said yes why not, but over the time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He was not putting his complete efforts to build this house. He has used inferior materials even his workmanship was not up to the mark as he was known for his workmanship. This was very disappointing as he was not justifying with his work, he was just destroying his dedicated career.

When the carpenter finished his work, His employer came to inspect the house. He called the carpenter and hand over the front-door key to him and said you worked for me a long time so "This is your house... my gift to you."

The carpenter was shocked! As he was fully aware about his faulty workmanship and inferior quality of material used in the house.

He was very upset and thought what I had done with this house, if he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

Same rules follow with your life too. We always build our lives every moment of time and often puts less efforts to make it better. Building of our future fully depends on us and how we are putting the efforts in present.  It’s human tendency we regret later once the time has gone and we realized that whatever we have done is not up to the mark. Once Time has gone we need to live in the house that we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently.
So guys this is a similar story of everybody. We never give our best efforts in our present life, please remind yourself every morning whatever you do today, you will get your house tomorrow. You cannot get it back as you are the carpenter of your own life.
One more thing, whether you are doing it for yourself or doing it for someone else always puts your best possible efforts to make it better.
You need to give your best possible efforts to fix the nail, built a wall, floor & roof of your house. Whenever you will be in your house at least you get satisfaction that you had put your best possible efforts to make it, you don’t have any regret & guilt that cannot justify with yours efforts.

Someone said correctly, "Life is a do-it-yourself project."  
Whatever you are doing today, you will get it in future. So keep your foundation strong as possible as so that you will get a strong and beautiful house for your future. Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, Build wisely !
